Langtang Valley Trek
Langtang Valley is located at the north of Kathmandu bordering Tibet. Langtang Valley trek is famous for its natural scenery offering snow capped mountain at the all sides of the valley with the reflection of Tibetan cultured settlement in the valley. Trekkers would never be able to eradicate the memories of mesmerizing view of Naya Kanga Ri (5846m), Gang Chhenpo(6388m), and not to forget the highest peak of the Langtang region, Langtang Lirung(7246).
Langtang Valley trek is also famous for its National park where while in trek, trekkers can experience the change in vegetation from subtropical to alpine forest sheltering one of the most endangered species of wild life inclusion of Himalayan black bear, red panda, wild dog, Himalayan Thar, goral (mountain antelope), musk deer, pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe. The trek would also amuse plant lovers thorough out, where it is a known fact that the national parks of Nepal not only offers shelter to endangered species of animals but also homes most rare flora and fauna.
The settlement in Langtang region is dominated by the Tamangs and Sherpas in the Lantang region and this valley is prejudiced by the old Tibetan lifestyle, culture, and their own language and traditional.
Syabrubesi is the preliminary point of the Langtang Valley trek, after crossing Syabrubesi the trail makes an entrance to the sub tropical jungle. The dominant vegetation of the jungle is oak, birch and pine. After a pleasant walk through the natural atmosphere of sub tropical forest the trail opens to alpine meadows and yak territorial land followed by continuous walk uphill towards and past Lama Hotel to Langtang valley until we reach at Kanyanjing Gompa. After reaching Langtang valley we would take some time and explore Langtang valley. The trek would head back to Syabrubesi after exploring the culture and vista, via same route and finally drive back to Kathmandu which is also the final destination of the trek.

Day 01: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Namaste and welcome to Nepal! With the hope that you had a smooth flight, we assist you at the airport to get to your hotel. There are no additional programmes set for the day but the welcome dinner in the evening and a session of introduction.
Day 02: Sightseeing, last minute preparation and briefing
This day will help you get along with the country. We carry a prolonged heritage on our back and a country’s heritage will help you best in knowing the culture and the customs. Meanwhile our backend staff will prepare for required permits and other last minute preparation to make your trip hassle free. At the end of the day you will be briefed about the trip by your guide and this will be an opportunity for you to exchange word with your companion for the rest of the trip.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi
We get on to the vehicle of our choice, early in the morning, to reach Syabrubeshi within next 8 hours. Fasten your seatbelts for one of the most adventurous drives in the country, along the gushing tributaries and the view of Ganesh, Manaslu and langtang. We make our way to Trishuli bazaar, Dhunche and further to Syabrubeshi, after multiple, refreshing breaks in between. We unload our backpacks and rest the night at Syabrubeshi and get ready for the trek on foot.
Day 04: Syabrubeshi to Lama Hotel (6-7 hours, 1050m ascent)
We begin early and as usual after breakfast and ascend. Majority of the day is spent on the ascent and primarily on flourishing hill, dense at times but not very challenging. Langur monkeys in this section of Langtang valley trek is a common sighting, whereas it homes some other species like martens, wild boars, red pandas and Himalayan black bear. At times of the year birds chirping makes walking on this trail mesmerizing. We cross several waterfalls and streams until we reach dry and arid land followed by our destination of the day ‘Lama Hotel’.
Day 05: Lama Hotel (2840m) to Langtang village (3430m) (4-6 hours, 980m ascent)
The day starts after early morning breakfast and walking on the trails easy enough for early morning legs. This is another beautiful day on the trails and captivating as we walk through hemlock, maple, oak and tantalizing Rhododendron of hues white and pink and to add up the preview of peak Langtang Lirung through the trees. We cross several streams and the trail isn’t very easy in between but towards the end the trail gets gradual. We will witness the Tibetan culture on the trails through prayer flags, water charged mills also known as mane and the Tibetan style stone houses with tinned roof and beautifully carved windows. We call it a day at langtang and acclimatize for further ascent.
Day 06: Langtang village (3430m) to Kyanjin Gompa (3860m)
We should start early this day to make sure we reach by lunch at Kyanjin Gompa. The hike today is not very strenuous but as the altitude kicks in the hiking becomes difficult. On this day it can be implied that the mountains in the region never leaves the trail and the scenery is awe-inspiring. We reach Kyanjin Gompa by lunch time, acclimatize, eat and observe the ambiance. After lunch we can visit the monastery namely Kyanjin Gompa itself and the school named Nyingmapa school monastery. There is a famous cheese factory as well, which was setup with the help of Swiss expert, which still produces good amount of delicious cheese every summer.
Day 07: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
Time to head back to the initial point from Kyanjin Gompa and we initiate the day early and head towards Lama hotel. We cover twice the distance on our way down than way up in 5-7 hours. We follow the same path and reach Langtang village and further to Lama hotel and rest at a teahouse for the night.
Day 08: Lama Hotel to Syabrubeshi
We begin strolling to Syabrubeshi from Lama hotel after breakfast and walk our way down on a slow pace. We catch up with the elements of the beautiful forest and the wildlife missed on our way up and will try capturing some species of flora and fauna in our camera. We rest the day in Syabrubeshi.
Day 09: Syabru beshi to Kathmandu
We get on to the vehicle of our choice, early in the morning, to reach Kathmandu by next 8 hours. We will embark on the same highway on our way to Syabrubeshi and head towards the capital of the country. We make our way to Trishuli bazaar, and further to Kathmandu, after multiple, refreshing breaks in between. We unload our backpacks and chill out, take hot shower and enjoy a relaxed evening.
Day 10: Final departure from Departure
This is the end of your trekking in Nepal! We can help you create further itineraries for your trips in the country or you can hang out with us or you can add up sightseeing with us. If you are scheduled to fly back to your next stop, we will transfer you to the airport and wave you off in authentic Nepalese way.
